Yore is a 100 × 100cm acrylic on timber painting of Coonarr beach, just south of Bundaberg QLD, and my family’s shack from memory as it no longer stands and few photos are available. My great grandfather built the shack, and it was shared by the wider family for a few generations until the land had to be sold and the shack demolished, when I was about 14 or 15. I have a lot of phenomenal memories there, and even after the three room shack was gone we would still camp there as a family (and later, I would start going with my then-boyfriend-now-husband).
Please see the last two photos particularly to note that the painting can look very grey or very blue/green dependant on the lighting.
